Urge the White House: Break the Net Neutrality Deadlock!
The White House has signed an executive order that would restore internet consumer protections collectively called "net neutrality." Those protections would rein in big broadband companies and promote fair pricing, pro-consumer competition and innovation.
Big problem: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has to approve the order and move forward on this policy, but after Chairman Ajit Pai stepped down, the FCC is deadlocked 2-2.
Here's some of the good things the order would do:
"The executive order is important...but...the agency needs a fifth commissioner to fully function," said one net neutrality advocate.
It's been months! Urge the White House to break the deadlock by nominating a fifth commissioner without further delay.
