Support CEJA and Clean, Affordable Transportation
The Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA), House Bill 3624/Senate Bill 2132, would protect utility bills, increase utility accountability and transparency, and it would help make transportation cleaner and more affordable.
Gas-powered vehicles are now the biggest source of climate pollution. Please urge Springfield to support CEJA and cleaner, more affordable transportation!
As an Illinois consumer who cares about clean, affordable energy and transportation, I urge you to support the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA).
Gas-powered vehicles are now the biggest source of climate pollution—but that’s not the only reason to support electric vehicles.
The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) found that smart EV-charging policies actually help manage the power grid and reduce everyone's electric bills. (Even people who don't drive EVs!)
CEJA would bring transportation electrification to communities that have long been hurt by pollution. It would:
- Create EV rebates to encourage ownership of new and used electric cars in low-income communities.
- Develop an EV car-sharing program.
- Build quick-charge stations in rural areas and along highways.
- Help reduce costs by promoting the electrification of transit buses and government vehicles (like police cars and garbage trucks).
We need affordable, clean transportation. We need lower utility bills. We need utility accountability. Our pocketbooks and our planet can’t afford to wait. Please support CEJA. Thank you.
